Ayumi Ueno Truong

Ayumi Ueno Truong grew up in a tiny island off the coast of Japan, near Okinawa. Ayumi has two sons, Taki and Takara, who are both in the Green Class. Ayumi came to the United States in 1980 as an exchange student, and decided to stay. She moved to Utah in 1992 and started working at the Montessori Community School in 2003. Ayumi is working on her Early Childhood Montessori certification through North American Montessori Center (NAMC). She loves the warm, friendly environment at Montessori Community School. Ayumi enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and spending time with her sons. Little known fact about Ayumi: she hiked and camped at the bottom of the Grand Canyon (next time she’ll ride the mules).
