Look Out Pass


The west desert offered us
lots of exercise, chilly breezes, and amazing vistas.

The hike was steep, but full
of discovery! We found many remnants of Lake Bonneville,
such as fossilized Rugose corral!

We enjoyed a few moments of sunshine here and there,
which we took advantage of eagerly.

having mysterious evidence of feathery seedlings!


We played a game involving adaptation,
synonymous with desert life.
Elise demonstrates her idea of plant adaptations
as an answer to the stress of short growing periods, by
acting out a cactus flower surrounded by plants in the sun,
and then showing the seeds fall to the ground.




After exerting much stamina and courage, we all
made it to the top!



It was clear to see, the grandeur of the basin and range from
Look Out Pass!
