STUDENTS

Developing social skills and nurturing creativity is just as important at the Tenth East Montessori School as learning the core academic subjects. In all areas our students are encouraged to become independent and self-sufficient which not only prepares them for their future endeavors but boosts their confidence levels enormously. Kindness to others becomes the more natural choice of behavior for our students from constant reinforcement of this principle in the daily operations of their classroom communities. Peace Education features prominently in our curriculum and our daily classroom and school procedures. Each classroom has an established protocol for resolving conflicts which has a deliberate emphasis on helping the students learn how to handle problems without the intercession of adults. Adult mediation is provided but never unnecessarily.

Not only is a love of learning nurtured through our programs but also a love of life, peace and the world around us. We strive for excellence in all that we do at Tenth East Montessori but, above all, we strive for HAPPY children.
